"Gnosticism"

Gnosticism is basically the religious belief of how people are souls temporary on this materialistic planet doing good until they pass and go to the place they been waiting for there whole life. I think an example of Gnosticism is Christianity, it teaches us about how to be Christlike because it will grant us all the gift of everlasting life after death because everything in this world when we die comes to waste. Christians believe this and do not prize any possessions because they know that it does not worth anything in this world but the ways of the bible, and stuff like money or items will corrupt and distract there purpose to the pursuit of happiness.
As we all know the the movie "Matrix" does relate to it because it is using the concept, if one was to free there mind out of the matrix before a robot comes and kills before you come out. So the drone robots are using a dream world to distract the people that are not freed to keep them until a robot needs them, so if you were free a robot that looks over to see if all there batteries(humans) are not good and have to dispose them until they are retrieved by there ship such as the Nebuchadnezzar or so on and so forth (sounded like a teacher).
In Plato's Allegory we see his way of gnosticism, talking about someone that might be in a cave in the dark for all of his life and has been showed what it is to be the manufactured truth (enormous fire) and the absolute truth(sunlight). Once me see the sunlight inside of the cave the person stuck in the cave will know automatically that half truth will not be worth believing because the whole truth was revealed. Therefore that person in the cave will do anything to get the truth even if it is escaping out the cave, but when he does he has the whole world ahead to explore and discover the truth(metaphorically).
Media can definitely relate to these three analogies because media believe it or not, tells us the mixed truth, they hold back on the real truth and give us what we already know and does not tell what we need to know. Media just bombards us with every type of news anyone could think of because they want to distract the publics curiosity into what this world actually is. I think people just don't care because if we did try to figure/research it out what is happening today on the real truth the government will still not care on the communities point of view and still be corrupt running the city the way they want to. I tried guys lets see what my grades will comes up to, hope its not a 15 because i will be tight!

p.s. if you guys don't know what tight is look it up......nah just playing it means pissed.

"The Allegory of the Cave"

An allegory is a form of story or myth that can mean something totally different; not literal. Sometimes it is conveyed by language, painting, sculpture, or acted out silently (mimetic). "The Allegory of the Cave" is a story that is trying to show a message on how people in this world are imprisoned in a complex world which is the cave. The myth tells us that everything in this world bombards us with lies blinding everyone, trying to cover up the truth so everything will be a happy safe world when its really not. This kind of reminds me of how media for example, it tries to block every political thing from the world so everyone will be calm but the truth is that the government is corrupt. The allegory states that everything that we know thats the truth are really shadows of a a wall in a underground room, and if one gets enlightened by unleashing ones self free to the sun, they follow the truth which is the light. In "The Matrix" when Morphias was explaining to Neo how everything in the world is not what is seems because really it is actually the matrix, the dream world, for robots to eat them until they die out like batteries. Furthermore, the allegory and the matrix are showing us the same story but in a different twist, it all comes down to finding out the real truth.

"The Matrix"

"The Matrix" is a film about two worlds battling for the life one who will save lives in Zion. The main characters of the movie is Neo(the one), Morphias(the believer), Trinity(Neo's lover), Agent Smith(Antagonist), and his agents. In the beginning of the movie Neo is in the regular world oblivious to what goes around him until he wakes up to the computer talking. This is Morphias of course trying to capture his attention and he later on meets Trinity by that weird advice the he received from the computer. Agents find him, bug him, but Trinity debugs him with the crew. Neo finally meets Morphias, prevails to go into to the "Matrix", and is given information on what really happened on earth. To make a long story short he really turns out to be the one and is the hero who always has to do a cool thing at the end. I thought the movie is good and think the other movies are pretty good because all movies need to have an end to them whether its good or bad, but thats a different story. Neo is a great symbolism of Jesus because he is the one to stop the war, sort of like Jesus but saving the world from sin. Another cool thing that I thought was interesting was when he died and rose again, not in the third day but you get the picture. The movie is quite confusing because to tell you the truth I don't really know what it means and I just heard Professor Smith say something about religion and here I'am writing for my grade. So lets hope I don't fail.
